I happen to listen to Darren Rowse and few others in youtube regarding blogging tips for beginners. Whatever you write should contain Good Content. Good Content is a content which will educate reader or solve reader's problem or entertain reader. Try to read ugly truths of blogs for beginners
I was writing a post on a vlsi circuit which included pictures and equations. I had problems in converting a word document to blog post especially equations are not copied properly. I have found few methods to do this which might be helpful to convert word doc to blogger post
- Open a word file, select the data you want to copy, right click and copy. Now go to edit posts in blogger and paste it where you want. This process will copy data but equations and figures or pictures are not copied. This method of converting word doc to blogger post lose figures and equations.
- So another method to convert the word doc to blogger post is to convert the word doc to google doc and then open the google doc, copy and paste the required data to blog post. To convert word doc to google doc, go to www.docs.google.com, select upload, select files you want to upload and click start upload. Once upload is finished, choose Go Back to Google Docs. Open the uploaded file, select the contents you want to upload, copy the contents. Now switch to Blogger post editor in Compose mode and paste the copied data.Conversion from word to google doc results in loss of data, so this may not the best idea
- I think the easiest way to do this is to open the word doc you want to upload. Go to Office Button in Windows 2007, select Publish, click on blog, it will ask you to register your blog account. To publish in blogger you have to register your blogger account with Microsoft office, for further details you can read this Microsoft Office blog page. But unfortunately i couldn't register with Microsoft, so i found another method.
- The main problem with the conversion of word doc to blog post is word equations are not copied properly. So open word doc you want to upload and save it in the Web Page, Filtered format. This format will save all the figures and equations in the *.png format in a folder(folder name same as filename). Now go to Blogger post editor and insert the figures and equations, which are in the *.png format.(Note: If you save word doc in Web Page format, then equations are saved in *.png format but the background of the equation figures is white, which will not good when you upload in the post.). Copy word document data and insert the figures and equations into the post editor
